Zelda Agnes Orr, 89, a resident of Frostburg Nursing Home and formerly of Greenbelt, MD, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on February 17, 1927 in Barton she was the daughter of the late Jesse C. Warnick and Florence Etta (Bittinger) Warnick.
She was preceded in death by her husband Drummond Orr in 2007, a son Michael Brian Orr, four sisters Geraldine Sigler, Freda Thomas, Mayme Densmore and Leah Warnick and her brother James Warnick.
Zelda attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Frostburg. She was a 1945 graduate of Central High School.
She is survived by two children, Douglas Gary Orr and wife Charlynn of Clarksville, MD and Valerie Henderson and husband Dave of LaVale; three sisters, Shirley Robertson, Joan Darnell and Jean Beeman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 3-5PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00AM with Jeff Alderton officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, MD.
