William James Whiteman, 83, of Upper Georges Creek Road, Frostburg, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home. Born on January 6, 1938 in Klondike he was the son of the late William Whiteman and Jessie (McGee) Whiteman.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Donna Sexton and Catherine Payne.
William was a member of First Assembly God, Lonaconing. He had worked as a truck driver for Hill Top Fruit Market. He loved spending time at camp on Savage River, sitting around the camp fire.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Whiteman; ten children, William, Phillip, Jimmy, Lillian, Dorothy, Eliza, Betty, Dave, Connell and Jesse and a special grandson that he raised, William; grandchildren, Alan, Jackie, Sami Jo, Dalton, Payton, Cheyenne, Little Jesse, Colton, Glenna and Elizabeth and numerous grandchildren in Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Ryder Whiteman and Greyson See; three siblings, Thelma Foutz, Phillip Whiteman and wife Doris and Stanley Whiteman and wife Vicky and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Minister Steve Hershberger officiating.
