William A. Swenskie 84 of Seville, Ohio, formerly of Streetsboro, died Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born December 13, 1928 in Clarksburg, WV to William and Mary (Bohensky) Swenskie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Elizabeth (Jenkins) Swenskie, daughter Mary Kay Niemiec, sisters Mary Joan and Dolores and brother Anthony.
He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, retired from Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg as a Die Setter Supervisor, was a gifted cabinet maker, a charter member of the Akron Silver League Slo Pitch and Travel Teams, enjoyed Harley Davidsons, bowling, hunting, fishing , his little buddy Kobe and most of all watching his grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include his loving wife Marty (Hastings) Easton-Swenskie, daughters Betty Lou (Ed) Skidmore, Nadine (Darryl) Wamplers, Danita (Joe) Srodek, Dawn (Brian) Rice and Danna (Burch) Vandergriff, sons James (Tracy Reuter) Swenskie and Dan (Thelma) Easton, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brother John Swenskie and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends including special cousins Dolores Furratti and Gloria Masters.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 11 AM - Noon at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland (www.eichhornmckenzie.com).
A graveside service will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg at 12:30 PM with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Military Rites will be accorded by Farrady Post #24 America Legion Honor Guard.
