William Eugene Ritchey

William Eugene Ritchey, 80, of Frostburg, died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Sterling Care, Frostburg. Born on April 3, 1943 in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late James Laird Ritchey and Nancy Alice (Spiker) Ritchey.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years on August 10, 2022, Prescilla Jane (Walters) Ritchey, joining her one year and two days later in Heaven. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret (Ritchey) Gordon.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Ritchey, whom loved him very much; two sisters, Elanor Darlene Weber, and Helen Stott; a brother, James “Clatus” Ritchey and wife Pat and several nieces and nephews.

William was a graduate of Valley High School and worked in the food service industry most of his life. He loved baseball and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He also enjoyed playing bingo. He was a member of LaVale Baptist Church.

Family and friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11-1 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jim Jeffries officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

Pallbearers will be Nicky DiGraziano, Tony DiGraziano, Barry Huestis, Butch Browning, Jimmy Stott and Chuck Stott.
