William "Goat" George Morgan, 65, of Upper Georges Creek Road, Frostburg died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on July 28, 1946 in National he was the son of the late William Morgan and Freda (Leader) Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell Morgan and Glenn Morgan and one sister, Alverta Dye.
He was Methodist by faith and a 1964 graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg. He was a skilled laborer belonging to the N.A. Local 616, Laborers Local, Cresaptown, MD. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Frostburg. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, he enjoyed playing set back and loved gardening.
He was survived by his wife Dolores Kae (Ritchie) Morgan; three daughters, Diane Stott and husband Chuck, Barbara Buskirk and husband Richard and Mary Smith and husband Jason all of Lonaconing; ten grandchildren, Carrie, Matthew, Adam, Samantha, Richard, Jason, Michael, Brandi, Elizabeth, Jamie and Tori; six great-grandchildren, Jason, McKenna, Jay, Braylon, Emmaleigh and Brentley; one sister, Donna Jean Burkey of Midland and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) on June 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. George Loar officiating. Family and friends will be received two hours prior to the service from Noon - 2:00 PM. Inurnment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park.
