William J. Hutcheson, 90, of Douglas Avenue, Lonaconing died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on August 24, 1924 in Lonaconing he was the son of the late James W. Hutcheson and Mary Edith (Gould) Hutcheson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Naoma (Preston) Hutcheson on February 7, 1986 and his sisters, Ruth Likens and Ester Hutcheson and one brother, Paul Hutcheson.
He was a member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Lonaconing and a retiree of the Celanese Corporation after 41 years of service. He loved hunting and fishing.
Uncle Bill was very grateful for his caretakers, Wilma, Shasta and Alison Cutter. It meant a lot to him to be cared for by his family. He wanted to be sure that they knew how much he loved and appreciated them. He enjoyed playing with the children he was surrounded by daily. He felt so blessed to be able to live out the his last six years in the presence of those he loved so very much.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Hutcheson of Lonaconing and Kenneth Hutcheson of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 1:00PM with Rev. Everett Spence officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills, MD
Pallbearers will be Gerald Cutter, Sr., Gerald Cutter, Jr., Ed Robertson, Bradley Collins, Dustin Cutter and Chris Filer.
