MIDLAND, MD--William "Bill" Foutz, 81, of Midland, beloved husband, father, and Pap, passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born July 30, 1932, in Midland, he was the son of the late Kenny and Bessie (Buskert) Foutz of Midland. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Foutz, his sister, Virginia Martz, and two nephews, James Miller and Buster Foutz.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the love of his life, Jean Foutz; four children, Linda Kerling and husband Tom, Lonaconing, Bill Foutz and wife Sonia, Rawlings, Kathy Willison and husband Tim, Green Castle, Pa., and Chuck Foutz and wife Sharon, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Brian Kerling and wife Bobbie, Tom Kerling, Jr. and wife Becky, Lisa Moreland and husband Zach, Ryan Foutz and wife Erin, Mandy Willison and fiance Josh, Jessie Willison, Chuck Foutz, Jr. and fiance Rachel, and Joshua Foutz; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Dennis, Matthew and Andrew.
Bill attended Midland Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing multiple string instruments and listening to Gospel/Country music. For over 12 years, he enjoyed playing in the Winebrenner Gospel Band. He was quite the woodsman and enjoyed the outdoors with his sons, and grandsons. He worked for EV Coyles for 45 years as a furniture repairman.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, Midland, on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Winebrenner officiating.
Internment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
