Vickie Lee (Truly) Shingler, 61, of Back Street, Midland died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on November 23, 1953 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late William James Truly and Ruth Virginia (Beeman) Truly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Shingler.

Vickie was the owner of Truly’s Bar and Grill, Midland and had worked in the dietary department at Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lonaconing.

Most people say there is nothing like a mother's love, and they are right. Our “momma” was a wonderful person who showed kindness to everyone she ever met. She had a smile that would light up the room and a “crazy” sense of humor. She was caring and beautiful inside and out. Vickie was not just our mother, she was our best friend and above all things she loved her family unconditionally.

Though her smile is gone forever and her hand we cannot touch.
We have so many memories of the one we loved so much.
Her memory is now our keepsake, which with we’ll never part.
God has her in his keeping, we have her in our heart.
Sadly missed but never forgotten.

She is survived her children, Steven Shingler, William Mike Shingler and wife Jennifer, Christopher Shingler and wife Tammi all of Midland and Jamie Lynn Shingler and Jesse Rosenberger of Frostburg; grandson, Corey Gilen; step-grandchildren, Lacey Livengood, Sarah Robinette,  JR Livengood, Daniel Rosenberger and Emily Rosenberger.

Family and friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00AM with Rev. Daniel Montague officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
