Thelma Marie Davis, 94, of Frostburg died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on September 21, 1919 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Walter Cutter and Hannah (Russell) Cutter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Davis in 1987, son David Davis, sister Lena Spiker and brother Allen Cutter.
Thelma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, LaVale. She was a homemaker and a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters Pauline Bucklew of Lonaconing, Donna Beck of Boiling Springs, PA and Sandy Getson and husband Mike of Midland; grandchildren, Wayne Colmer of Lonaconing, Gary Colmer of Lonaconing, Joyce Ritchie and husband Bob of Lonaconing, Cynthia Parker and husband Mike of Mechanicsburg, PA, Tamara Harris and husband Steve of Dauphin, PA, Christa Haring and husband John of Florida, Bryan Beck and wife Brooke of Boiling Springs, PA and Joshua Getson and wife Sherri of Keyser, WV; great-grandchildren, Bobby, Jeff, Luke, Ryan, Samuel, Sarah, Ainsley, Joseph and Everett; great-great-grandchildren, Rachael, Brycen and Ava; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Fazenbaker of Frostburg and Beatrice Davis and several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, LaVale with Bishop Greg Werner officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
At the request of the family memorial donations may be made in memory of Thelma to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 12205 Gramlich Road SW, LaVale, MD 21502.
