Tausha Powell

On October 11, 2017 Tausha Marie Powell passed on from this life into the loving arms of her mother at the gates of heaven.  The miracle of Tausha’s life began on March 12, 1985 in Morgantown, WV.

She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Marie Williams, maternal grandmother Bonnie J. Buskirk, paternal grandfather Charles “Dude” Powell and step-grandparents John E. Williams Sr. and Betty Williams.

She attended George’s Creek Elementary and Westmar High School. After graduation Tausha attended the adult day program at United Cerebral Palsy in Cumberland.

Tausha spent her life defying the odds and showing us the reality of God’s miracles by surpassing her life expectancy time and time again. She enjoyed warm fuzzy blankets, teddy bears, music, funny cartoons, baths, camping, ice cream and mashed potatoes and gravy. Her laugh was infectious and her beautiful blue eyes lit up our world. Even though her time on earth was short, she has given us a lifetime of joy, happiness and love. She will be missed deeply but will forever remain etched on our hearts and memories.

She is survived by her father Charles “Bryan” Powell and wife Kimberly and her daddy John E. Williams; loving siblings, caregivers Stephanie Williams and partner Jim Stott, Bryan  Powell, Bonita Williams and fiancé Justin Baer, Evan Williams, Matthew Williams and fiancé Katie Broadwater and Samantha Mills Powell. She is also survived by grandparents Roger Buskirk Sr. and Clara Powell; several nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Steve Leydig officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
