Steven Shockey

Steven “Quincy” Edward Shockey, 64, of Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at his residence. Born on October 27, 1954 he was the son of the late James Edward Shockey and Betty Marie (Beeman) Shockey.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Jean Shockey.

Quincy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Barton American Legion Post #189.  He spent 20 years working with the Town of Lonaconing and 20 more years as a fork truck driver with Verso Corporation.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Lois (Scott) Shockey; two sons James Edward Shockey of LaVale and Steven Adam Shockey and wife Alicia of Lonaconing; six grandchildren Savannah, Samantha, Meredith, Alexander, Adian and Lyrica; a brother Jim Shockey and wife Brenda of Lonaconing; sister-in-law Denise Wilt and husband Tom and father-in-law Robert Scott all of Lonaconing and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. At his request there will be no formal funeral service.
