Scott "Polish" Broadwater

August 31, 1965 — October 24, 2012

Scott “Polish” Clinton Broadwater, 47, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center with his loving companion and family at his side.  Scott was born August 31, 1965.  He was the son of Gerald Broadwater Sr., Gilmore, and Carol Donald, Lonaconing.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rosalie and Harry Williamson, Sr., Lonaconing, and his paternal grandparents Mary and Marshall Broadwater, his step father, James “Sunset” Donald, Lonaconing and an infant brother, Edward Lee. He is survived by his loving companion Becki Beeman, his sisters, Jeri (Todd) Thrasher and their son Jason and girlfriend Megan Kyle, Midland, and Lisa McClintock, Grantsville.  He is survived by his brothers, Ricky Broadwater, Nathan Broadwater, and Gerald Broadwater, all of Grantsville.  He is also survived by his extended family, Travis Beeman, Jessica Beeman and Jennifer (Eric) Harvey, his "little baby boy" Hunter Harvey and Donnie "Pap" (Joy) Green.

Scott never met a stranger.  He loved to go hunting.  But he especially loved to take his “TayTay” (Taylor Lamberson) with him to watch for deer.  And when they were done she would always swindle him into getting her some M&M’s.  The two of them had such a special bond that will never be forgotten and will be cherished forever.  To his last day he would be worried about not seeing her at her first day of school or see her get on the bus for the first time.  Scott was like a big old teddy bear when it came to his “TayTay”, Bayleigh, and Rhegan.  Scott is also survived by several aunts and uncles, Mary (James) McGuire, Martha (Charlie) Rosenberger, Brenda (Jim) Shockey and Harry (Diane) Williamson and numerous cousins and special buddies, Leonard Wilson and Justin "Wildcat" Diehl of Lonaconing.  Scott was a 1983 graduate of Valley High School.  He worked many construction jobs over the years, until his recent illness, he worked for Miller Environmental through the Town of Lonaconing.  Polish was a member of the Lonaconing Republican Club also.

Friends will be received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating.
