Sarah Jane Green

Sarah Jane Green, 80, of Midland, died Thursday, August 24, 2023 surrounded by family at Devlin Manor, Cumberland. Born on June 8, 1943 in Gilmore, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Jane (Reid) Blubaugh.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Barbara Ann and a grandson, Joshua Thompson.

Sarah Jane retired from the Board of Education after many years of service in the custodial department of George’s Creek Elementary School. After retirement she and her husband Vince had a wonderful time spending their winters in Florida. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. But most of all, Sarah Jane loved when her whole family could be together, nothing was more important to her.

She is survived by her loving husband Vince, they would have celebrated their 65^th wedding anniversary on September 27^th; three children, Vince Green and wife Shannon, Roxann Thompson and Lenny Kline and Brenda Warnick; seven grandchildren, Amber Broadwater and husband Derek, Cassie Wilson and husband Jon, Crystal Wildesen and husband Richie, Kelsey Saylor and husband Zach and Jenna, Jordyn and Vinnie Green; eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Brycen, Brodhi, River, Mckena, Mason, Lukas and Kenzie; a brother, Jake Blubaugh and wife Carol and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 2-4PM and 7-9 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 1:00 with Rev. Jim Jeffries officiating. Interment will be held at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
