Rose Marie McAlpine, 80, of Frostburg Heights, died Friday, June 5, 2020 at her residence. Born on March 23, 1940 in Midland she was the daughter of the late Henry L. Spiker and Blanche G. (McKenzie) Spiker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward K. McAlpine on February 15, 1999 and her siblings Henry S. Spiker, Joseph R. Spiker and wife Doris, and Eileen Oester and husband Edgar “Dick”. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Rose Marie was member of Divine Mercy Parish/St. Joseph Catholic Church, Midland where she was part of the sodality. She was a homemaker and spent most of her life in Lonaconing and Midland, where she was born and raised. She made many friends while living at Frostburg Heights.

She is survived by her children, three daughters Lee Ann McAlpine and Dave Folk of Shaft, Gail L. Kenner and husband Ed of Midland, Mary L. Pinder and husband Will of Cresaptown and a son John E. McAlpine and Kelly Taylor of Bedford, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren Melanie Ullery and husband Nathaniel, Chelsea Bosley and husband Rick, Justin Kenner and husband Chris Archambault, Carson Kenner, and Blake Pinder; two great-grandchildren Karra and Raiden Ullery; and a large extended family.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Ed Hendricks officiating. Internment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
