Robert Charles Shockey, 33, of Church Street, Lonaconing died Thursday, January 14, 2016. Born on March 14, 1982 he was the son of Randall Lee Shockey and Tammy (Moses) Shockey.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Shockey and numerous great aunts and uncles.
He graduated in 2000 from the Center for Career and Technology Education, Cumberland and was a truck driver for Liller Bros. Asphalt Inc., Cresaptown. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sportsman.
He was a member of the Sons of American Legion and the Republican Club, Lonaconing, where he was a Trustee.
Along with his parents he is also survived by his wife, the love of his life, Tracey Shockey; maternal grandparents, Charles “Pooch” and Betty Moses; two brothers, Michael Shockey and wife Tina and Marvin Shockey and Brittany Preston; one sister, Randi Amoruso and husband Joe; nieces and nephews, Jaden, Ciera, Jenna, Travis, Dylan and Julien; aunts and uncles, Bobby and Fay Shockey, Terry Shockey, John and Deb Shockey, Russell and Mary Shockey, Jean Lynn and Troy Clarke, Brian Moses and Andrea, Donnie Moses and Krista and David Hershberger,; numerous cousins including three special cousins, Nathan Moses and Abby and Jami Hershberger; two “other” brothers, Bret Davis and wife Anna and Adam Young and wife Jenny; extended family Alicia and Travis Moses; many great aunts and great uncles and very special friends and family, members of the Goodwill Fire Co. and Auxiliary and the Lonaconing Republican Club.
Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 1PM-4PM. A funeral service will be held following the receiving of family and friends at 4:00PM with Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating.
