Richard A. Evans, 67, of Westerville, passed away June 12, 2010 at St. Ann's Hospital, Oh.
He was born May 6, 1943 and grew up in Lonaconing, Md.
He was retired from Weyerhauser in 2005 where he was regional sales manager for many years and a graduate of West Virginia University. He loved history and was very knowledgeable and he also enjoyed college basketball, especially the NCAA Tournament in March each year.
Survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy; sons, David Evans of Westerville,Oh and Tom (Elaine) Evans of Clintonville, Oh; brothers, Benjamin (Nancy) Evans of Lonaconing and Ed Evans of Frostburg, Md; and many friends in Ohio, Maryland and throughout the country.
Preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Evans Jr.; and mother, Helen Stickel.
Family and Friends will be received at the by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 3 PM to 5 PM. A graveside service will follow with inurnment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills at 5:15 PM with the Rev. Tim Donaldson officiating.
