Rachel Weber

Rachel Marie Weber, 86, of Lonaconing passed away peacefully December 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing.  Born on February 5, 1932 in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Jane Marshall of Lonaconing.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Weber Sr. on October 12, 2007.

Rachel graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at Memorial Hospital and several nursing homes in Allegany County. She retired from the Brandenburg Center, Cumberland.

A longtime member of the Frist Assembly of God, Lonaconing; she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was active in the Missionetts youth group. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years. Through church, volunteering and her caring nursing career she touched many lives.

She is survived by her children Robert Weber Jr. of Cumberland, Brenda Bridges of Cumberland, Jane Ann Mowbray and husband Bob of Damascus, William Weber of Lonaconing and Charles Weber and wife Beth of Westernport; five grandchildren Derrick Bridges and wife Shannon of LaVale, Bethany Cooper of Mt. Airy, Bradley Mowbray and wife Jessica of Baltimore, Emily Weber of Westernport and Katie Dellinger and husband Richie of Swanton and six great-grandchildren Carter, Corrine, Bryce, Kaylee, Reece and Alayna.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Monington officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
