Phyllis Wilson

Phyllis Lucine Wilson, 87, of Watercliff Street, Lonaconing died Friday, November 20, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on February 26, 1928 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late James Robertson and Mae (Phillips) Robertson. She was raised by the late John and Ann Wilson.

She was preceded in death by a son Joseph Wilson and his wife Kathy Jo, a grandson Norman Andrew Jackson, III and a great-grandson Richard Lloyd Buskirk.

Phyllis was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lonaconing, where she was also a member the Women of St. Peter’s. She had worked for 23 years at the Flushing Shirt Factory in Grantsville.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years George J. Wilson; four children, Georgia Duckworth of Lonaconing, Melanie Wilson of National, Paul Wilson and wife Christina of Tennessee and Catherine Jones of Lonaconing; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; four siblings, Catherine Sowers of Rawlings, Frances Metz of Germantown, Virginia Wilt of Pittsburgh and Bob Robertson of Shaft; brother-in-law James Wilson of Germany; sister-in-law Joann Leach of Lonaconing and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received a Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A. Lonaconing on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lonaconing on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 with Rev. Garrett Carskadon officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
