Phyllis Wamsley

Phyllis Anne Wamsley, 61, of Big Lane, Midland, died Monday, May 30, 2022 at her residence. Born on May 17, 1961 in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Donald Crowe and Joan (Thomas) Crowe.

She was a graduate of Valley High School and had worked at the Lane Center, Frostburg. For many years she also owned and operated Wamsley Portrait Gallery. She really enjoyed photographing many local seniors and babies. In her spare time, she loved to watch Wheel of Fortune and daytime television dramas. She will always be remembered for her dry comedy, true honesty and her deep dedication for anything she loved.

She is survived by her husband Gregory Wamsley; two children, Lynsy Wamsley and Wesley Wamsley; two siblings, Patti Fiorita and Ronald Weimer and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Steve Leydig officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
