Pearl Buckholtz

Pearl Virginia Buckholtz, 93, of Lonaconing died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lonaconing. Born on November 27, 1923 in Midland she was the daughter of the late William Shearer and Gertrude (Brandlen) Shearer.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Buckholtz, Jr, siblings Minnie Thomas, Shirley Beal, Leroy Shearer, James Shearer, Pauline Rennie, Margaret Green, Mary Izat, and William Shearer and her daughter-in-law Virginia Buckholtz.

Pearl was a graduate of Beall High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing where she part of the Women’s Society and the Administrative Board. She was also a member of the Lonaconing Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her sons John Edward Buckholtz III of Lonaconing and Robert Jeffrey Buckholtz of Antioch, TN; grandson John Edward Buckholtz IV and wife Mandy of Lonaconing; great-grandson Cameron Buckholtz; sister Norma Engle; brothers Ross Shearer and Charles Francis Shearer and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
