Pearl J. Alexander, 93, of Lonaconing passed way Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Devlin Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, where she had been a patient since December of 2002. Born on November 4, 1920 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late John Johnson and Ida Mae (Ternent) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Onis, John, Jr. and Elmer and three sisters, Mary, Edna and Alice.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Alexander and wife Brenda of Cross, WV, Teddy Alexander of Cumberland and Debbie Llewellyn and husband Eddie of Barton; seven grandchildren, Carla Powell, Cory Alexander, Matthew Alexander, Ricky Alexander, Missy Gaughan, Becky McKenzie and Jenny Deffenbaugh; ten great-grandchildren and one brother, Curtis Johnson of Gilmore.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 7 -9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Rev. George Loar officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
