Paul "DD" Leslie Miller, 77, of Lonaconing passed peacefully at his home October 3, 2014. He was born on August 29, 1937 to the late Jacob and Lula Miller. He was married to Judy Charlotte Getson who was the love of his life. She preceded him in death Feb 4, 2009.
Paul was also preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew, Lee, Jacob and Glenn Miller and sisters, Helen Lemon, Carol Hollern and Mary Miller.
He is survived by one brother, Harry Miller and wife Ruth and two sisters, Elsie Cutter, Judy Ann Warnick and husband Donald and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was a kind, caring man with unconditional love towards friends, family, strangers and animals. He was always ready to strike up a conversation with anyone at anytime. Around the age of 60 Paul revealed his gift of singing, sharing his talent at local karaoke shows.
He was member of the Westernport American Legion as a U.S. Army Veteran. Which is where his career in trucking started and lasted well over 40 years. There wasn't a road or coffee shop he wasn't familiar with.
A special thanks to his sisters-in-law, Irma, Pauline and Angela for comforting him during his last days.
Paul donated his body to science and a memorial service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00AM with Rev. George Loar officiating.
