Paul Beeman

Paul Francis Beeman, 81, of Lonaconing passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 1, 1932 he was the son of the late Oscar and Catherine (Timney) Beeman. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene (Bean) Beeman, son Larry Beeman and brother, Layton Beeman.

Paul attended Central High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lonaconing and was a retired laborer from Westvaco.

Paul was a loyal Pirate and Steeler fan and enjoyed playing volleyball with his friends. He loved his family dearly and spent many wonderful trips in Ocean City, MD with them.

Surviving is his wife, Leona (Stafford) Beeman; sister, Phyllis Nicol; daughter, Linda Hamilton and husband Rick; grandchildren, Keith Fairgrieve and wife Chrissy, Michael Hamiltion, Travis Beeman, Jessica Beeman and Jennifer Harvey and husband Eric, great-grandchildren, Erika and Keith (Jr.) Fairgrieve, Hunter Harvey and Ava Blubaugh.

He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Becki Beeman; step-daughter, Diane Wimmer; step-son, Charles Wimmer and step-grandchildren, Tony and Timmy Brunson and Jonathan and Olivia Wimmer; mother-in-law, Helen Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Fred Iser and Pastor Bernadette Ross officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
