Patricia Wright

Patricia Ann Wright, 64, of Jackson Street, Lonaconing, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born May 11, 1958 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Chuck Dye and Helen Louise (Grove) Dye.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Roy Thomas Wright Jr and Wayne Hatfield,  three brothers, Butch Zais, Roy Dye and Dennis Dye and two sisters, Deborah Hamilton and Vicki Dye.

Patricia was a member of New Life Church, Frostburg where she was very involved, often cooking for many of the dinners. She was a homemaker; her cooking was amazing. Many local fire companies requested her dinner rolls for their functions. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo. Most of all she was a very loving mother, taking in kids and other people of the community and treating them as if they were her own. She was lovingly known to many as “Grandma” and “Mom”, she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years and soul mate, Roy Wright Sr; six children, Vince Wright, Butch Wright and wife Holly, Patricia Lease, Vicky Hatfield, Sherry Hatfield and Tammy Keller; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Hester Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends, Vicky Matthew and Michael Wilson, whom she thought of and loved like a son.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 6-9 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at Noon with Rev. Butch Wright officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.

Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Steven Hatfield, Vince Wright Jr., Gregory Ritchie, Christian Wright and Eric Wright.
