Patricia "Trish" Seib Martin

Patricia “Trish” Seib Martin, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Sterling Care, Frostburg. She was born in Ocean Hill, MD to the late Isabell (Rae) Seib and John J. Seib Sr.

Together with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Martin, five sisters, Mary Brant, Agnes Dawson, Betty Mauer, Anna Jean Savonna and Wilhelmina Dye and three brothers, Jacob Seib, Leo Seib and John Seib.

Patricia obtained a Master’s Degree in Reading from Loyola College in Towson and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Notre Dame College of Maryland. She spent many years teaching in parochial schools in Baltimore and Frostburg. She also taught at Lighthouse Christian Academy, was a substitute teacher for Allegany County public schools and a long-term substitute for remedial position in Westernport. In addition to teaching, she also had a career with Home Interior and Gifts. For several years she was involved with Relay for Life in Allegany County and was captain of a family team. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing.

She was survived by her step-daughter Pam Powell (Bernie) and one brother, Frederick Seib (Ramona) of Bel Air.

She was a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews, “Trish, thank you for teaching us to play jacks and 500 rummy.”

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-8 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing with Pastor David Schoch officiating. Interment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
