Mary Halbritter

January 26, 1931 — October 19, 2014

Mary Virginia Halbritter, 83, of Westernport died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Frostburg Nursing Home. Born on January 26, 1931 in West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Floyd Brown and Leona (Pyles) Brown.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth, Joanna and Ruby and four brothers, Walter, Nobel, Bob and Floyd, Jr.

Mary was of the Methodist faith. She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School in West Virginia and a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Denzil Halbritter of Midland, Latricia Ward and husband John of Midland, Allen Halbritter and wife Pamela of Utah, Brian Halbritter and wife June of Keyser, WV and Rosemary Yutzy of Klondike; fifteen grandchildren, Shannon, Connie, Beth, Denzil, Jr., Mike, Randy, Sherri, Stacy, Eric, Dustin, Brandon, Brian, Jr., Chris, Justin and Megan; eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Bella, Scotty, Jeremy, Coty, Dillon, Nicole and Lacy; two great-granddaughters; one sister, Linda Steiding and husband Rev. Dave Steiding of Westernport and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Bloomington Cemetery on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing handled the arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Frostburg Nursing Home for the excellent care provided to Mary during her stay.
