Margaret Taylor

Margaret Ruth (Robertson) Taylor, 93, formerly of St. Mary’s Church Terrace went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on September 11, 1925 in Barton she was the daughter of the late Abraham L. Robertson and Aleda R. (Dye) Robertson. She was raised by the late Earl and Jessie Smith.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Fulton Taylor in 2006, son-in-law Phillip Keller, niece Margaret Longshore and husband Ralph and granddaughter Janet Humbertson.

Margaret was a 1944 graduate of Central High School. She was cosmetologist by trade; a graduate of Del-Mar Beauty Academy, MI.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing. She was also a lifetime member of the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club and the Frostburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children Thomas A. Taylor and wife Virginia of Ft. Ashby, WV and Helen Keller of Lonaconing; four grandchildren SFC Joseph K. Hughes of Lonaconing, Margaret Ann Keller Ross and husband Donnie of Harrisburg, PA, Linda Ann Hurzon and husband Larry of VA and Rita Marie VanMeter of Rawlings; numerous great-grandchildren; nephew Charles Morton and wife Bonnie of MD and great-niece Deborah Blankenship and husband Danny of FL.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

At the request of the family donations can be made in Margaret’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church at 1 East Main Street, Lonaconing, MD 21539, the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Activity Fund at 57 Jackson Street, Lonaconing, MD 21539, or to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the facility and staff of the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center of the fine care provided to Margaret.
