Mandy Preston

Mandy Etta Preston, 45, of Westernport Road, McCoole, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her residence. Born on October 24, 1977 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Dale and Terry (Warnick) Preston.

She was preceded in death by her partner of 27 years, Christopher Hyde and her maternal grandmother, Joan Darnell.

Mandy was a 1995 graduate of Westmar High School. She loved to read and knit, she made her nieces and nephews many hats and blankets.  She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Together with her parents, Dale and Terry of Rawlings, she is also survived by her siblings, Kelly Kaylor and Sean Keller of Rawlings, Aaron Preston also of Rawlings and Amy Rash and husband Eric of Westernport; nephew and nieces, Stephen, Alivea and Kierra Kaylor and Shaylee and Kieran Rash; grandparents, Dale and Mary Lou Preston and several aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind her puppy, Eva.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM with speaker Gary Martin officiating. Inurnment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing at a later date.
