Linda O'Haver

Linda Gail (Hyde) O’Haver, 72, of Bucks Hill Road, Lonaconing died Friday, January 21, 2022 at her residence. Born on March 5, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Rosella (Smith) Hyde.

Linda was Methodist by faith and a 1967 graduate of Valley High School. She worked at the Schwab’s sewing factory for 26 years before working for Hunter Douglas for 12 more years. She loved her cats, Spooky, Gypsy, Socks and Simba and her dog, Buddy.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Mike O’Haver; one son, Chris Hyde and Mandy Preston of McCoole; sisters-in-law, Catherine Steele, Lois Elkins and Patricia Butler and husband Jake; childhood and high school best friend Irene Kiddy and husband Ray of Cumberland, her dog walking friend Dana Wilson of Coney and best friend and working companion for 26 years at Schwab’s Nancy Williams and husband Clayton of Cumberland; several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marjorie Hurder-Buhrman officiating. Interment will be held at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.

Pallbearers will be Terry DeShong, Kevin Creegan, Vaughn Whiteman, Robert Broadwater and Jake Butler.
