Lesta "Peach" Llewellyn

Lesta “Peach” Lousie (Eichhorn) Llewellyn, 82, of East Main Street, died Monday, July 22, 2019 at her residence. Born on March 16, 1937 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Martin Eichhorn, Sr. and Agnes “Aggie” (Cook) Eichhorn.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, brother August Eichhorn and wife Edna, sister Ruth (Eichhorn) Armstrong and husband John, Sr. and brother Martin Eichhorn, Jr. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A 1955 graduate of Valley High School, she worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Co., Loves Grocery in the mid 80’s and retired from Armstrong Insurance in 1999. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing where she served as the organist for over 50 years. She was an avid 500 card player and a bingo enthusiast.

She was the loving wife of Marvin Llewellyn, with whom she was preparing to celebrate 60 years of marriage. She is also survived by her children, son David Llewellyn and wife Shanda of Swanton, daughter Lori Muir and husband Larry of Hagerstown and son Kevin Llewellyn and wife Kay of Lonaconing; six grandchildren Taylor Fazenbaker and husband Caleb, Ian Llewellyn and wife Chandra, Katie Llewellyn, Eric Llewellyn, Hayden Muir and Dayton Llewellyn; two great-grandchildren Jaden and Brantley; a sister-in-law Joann (Shuhart) Eichhorn and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing with the Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held privately at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made in memory of Peach to the First Presbyterian Church at 1 East Main Street, Lonaconing, MD 21539.
