Lawrence "Larry" Allen Moyer

Lawrence “Larry” Allen Moyer, 52, of Sugar Maple Road, Barton, died Thursday, May 16,2024 at his home. Born on July 30, 1971 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Don Moyer Sr. and Jeanette (Kirkwood) Moyer.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Moyer Jr. and his father-in-law, Dallas Ours.

Larry was a 1989 graduate of Valley High School and worked as a foreman for B&D Excavating. He was an avid fisherman and passionate about gardening. He also enjoyed hunting and taking care of his chickens.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Tammy (Ours) Moyer; two children, Lawrence “Petey” Moyer Jr. and wife Destaney of Finzel and Tristen Moyer and Tina Miller at home; three grandchildren, Idalynn Moyer, Anakin Moyer and Nova Moyer; brother, Frank Moyer and wife Shelley; mother-in-law Gloria Ours; sisters-in-law, Tracie Martin and husband Jimmy, Theresa Readd and husband Shannon and Trisha Golston and husband Ali; brother-in-law, Daniel Ours and wife Gabby and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his close cousin, Jeanne Rodriguez, his life-long friend, Dave Mangold and his dog, Arya, that he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at the Barton Rod and Gun Club on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 12:00 PM.
