June Joy Ashby, 87, of Keyser, WV died Aug 31, 2012 at Potomac Valley Hospital. Born July 22, 1925 at Purgittsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bert Helman and Martha E. (Arnold) Helman. She was preceded in death her daughter Michelle Joy Ashby.
June was a former employee of Celanese Fibers Corp., Penn Ventilator, of Keyser, WV. She was also a nurse for Dr. James Bosley. She enjoyed raising, riding and judging horses.
Surviving are her very special friends Mary Miller, Joyce Ann Paugh, Ginny and John O'Connor and Dorothy Malkie all of Keyser, WV and her companions Wongboy and Ramason.
At her request she was creamated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, MD.
