John “Jack” Edward Kroll, 81, of Ft. Ashby, WV and formerly of Midland died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on December 27, 1933 in Midland he was the son of the late John Edward Kroll, Sr. and Frances Jane (Filer) Kroll.
Jack was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. A graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg, he worked at the Kelly Tire Co. for 28years. After the Kelly closed Jack went to work for Diakon, where he worked in security and maintenance for the Frostburg Heights Apartments.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Kroll; three children, John Eric Kroll and wife Clarisa of Orlando, FL, Steven Blair Kroll of Ft. Ashby, WV and Beth Lynne Gobbell and husband Cody of Medina, TN; two granddaughters, Shannon Martin of FL and Lauren Kroll of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Earlene Cordial of Cresaptown, Nomar Ravenscroft also of Cresaptown and Nancy Houdersheldt of Cumberland; one brother, James Kroll of OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack loved his family and God. He was a born again Christian and is with his heavenly Father.
Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 2-4PM. A funeral service will he held at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lonaconing on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 1:00PM with Rev. Charles Winebrenner and Assistant Pastor David Schoch officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park. Military Rites will be accorded by Frostburg Farrady Post #24.
