Joseph Justin “Wildcat” Diehl, 44, of Cross, WV passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 after a long and hard fought battle with Cardiac Amyloidosis. He was born and raised in Lonaconing he was the son of Nancy L Diehl Broadwater and step-father Buck of Cross, WV and Joseph G. Diehl and step-mother Deborah of Lonaconing, MD.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy Robertson.
Justin was better known to his friends as “Wildcat” because of his strength and perseverance through tough times. He was a true warrior with a loving heart and a soul as gentle as baby’s breath. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, his love of nature was second to none. Justin had a passion for life and had no fear of the challenges it threw at him. His life touched the hearts of many and he will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all that knew and loved him. He was one of God’s best creations.
Justin was a member of the Lonaconing Republican Club. He had been employed with Ritchie Home Improvement, Lonaconing and later as a bartender at the Lonaconing Republican Club.
Together with parents he is also survived by his sisters, Wenona Trexler and husband Donnie of Cumberland, Marlo Diehl also of Cumberland, Ashlee Robertson of Lonaconing and Stephanie Holdren of Beckley, WV; a brother, Robbie Robertson of Lonaconing; eight nieces, eight nephews and two great-nieces; numerous aunts, uncles and cousin and longtime friends, Jim, Marvin, Brittany and Jody.
So Justin “Wildcat” Diehl, soar high and joyously, for you are no longer bound by the bonds of your illness as you make your journey home to the loving hands of God. We love you and we will miss you until we meet again.
A memorial service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 5:00PM. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at 4:00PM.
His family would like to express their gratitude to his many friends for their kindness, love and support throughout his illness.
