James Zedeck Bosley, 72 of Old Frostburg Road, Frostburg died peacefully at his home with his wife by his side. Born on February 20, 1948 in Keyser, West Virginia, he was the son of the Elaine (Dye) Bosley and the late “Fitch” Bosley.
Along with his father he was also preceded in death by his nephew Aaron Bosley.
Jim was a 1966 graduate of Valley High School. He retired from Westvaco where he had worked in the 8 and 9 machine room. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish.
He was a member of George’s Creek Valley Lodge # 161, He was a Knight Commander Court of Honor with the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, served as Wise Master of Rose Croix and was the Venerable Master of the Knights of St. Andrew wherein he excelled at fund raising for the Scottish Rite Care Speech and Language Disorders Clinic at the Children’s League of Cumberland, Oakland and Keyser. Jim was also a member of Ali Ghan Shrine Motor Corp unit volunteering his time at many Crab Feast and Corn Roasts even during his long illness. He will be sadly missed by the Brethren of the Craft.
He was also a member of the Big Savage Sportsmen’s Club, Piney Mountain Sportsmen’s Club and Midland Sportsmen’s Club “The Patch”.
Together with his mother Elaine Bosley, he is also survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Diane Bosley; father and mother-in-law Eugene and Jean Miller; brothers Alfred Bosley and wife Stacie and Thomas Bosley and wife Melissa; a sister Cheryl Dorsey and husband Joe; nieces and nephews Amanda Dicken and husband Chad, Ben Dorsey and wife Molly, Harry Bosley and Renee, Josh Bosley, Austin Bosley and Ashley Waco and husband Matt; great-niece Bryleigh and Braylin Bosley and great-nephews Noah Dicken, Giage Waco and John Waco and Godchildren Alexis and Bryce Broadwater.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. At 7:30 PM a Memorial Service will be held by the Scottish Rite, officiated by the Knights of St. Andrew followed by a service held by the Ali Ghan Shrine Motor Corp followed by a service held by the George’s Creek Valley Lodge # 161. A funeral service will be held at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating. Interment will be held at Blocher Cemetery, Frostburg. Due to COVID-19 masks are required.
