Jacqueline Elizabeth Johnston, 84, of Furnace Street, Lonaconing died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on June 26, 1928 in Nikep she was the daughter of the late James H. Johnston and Margaret (Steele) Johnston.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. She was also a member of Morning Star Temple #1 Pythian Sisters, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the AARP. She retired from the Federal Government after working 34 years with the Department of Agriculture.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy J. Goldfarb and husband Dr. Morton Goldfarb of Florida; two nephews and two nieces, Dr. Steven Goldfarb, Dr. David Goldfarb, Susan Ross and husband Matthew and Dr. Amy Goldfarb; eight great nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Pam Llewellyn and husband Gary of Nikep; two special caregivers, Georgia Duckworth and Sandy House and special friends, Bill and Shirley Patton.
Family and friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 9:30 AM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. A memorial service will be held by Morning Star Temple #1 Pythian Sisters at 7:00 PM. Interment will be held Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
