Jack Earl Leishear, 73, of Railroad Street, Midland died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on October 18, 1940 in Baltimore to the late Jack Earl Leishear, Sr. and Ruth (Conrad) Leishear, he was the foster son of the late Tom and Clara Stifler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice E. Leishear on July 18, 2001.
He was member of the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lonaconing. Jack loved fishing, singing and playing his autoharp.
He is survived by his son, Frank Nicol and wife Robby (McKenzie) Nicol; two grandsons, Frank Nicol, Jr. and Steven Nicol; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Nicol and a very special friend and companion whom he loved dearly, Verlous "June" Guthrie.
A memorial service will be held at the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lonaconing on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles Winebrenner officiating. Inurnment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing handled the arrangements.
