Isabelle Morton

Isabelle Naismith Morton, 92, of Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing died Monday, October 24, 2011 at the nursing home. Born June 27, 1919 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late James Stevenson Morton and Annie Belle (Frye) Morton.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Lapp, James Morton, Helen Thomas, Genevieve Timney and John Morton. Isabelle was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Isabelle was a member of the McCoole congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Throughout her life she worked at Celanese Fiber Corp., Cumberland, Holmes and Co., Lonaconing, Style Mart, Lonaconing and retired from the Mary Carol Shop, Lonaconing as a sales clerk.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Morton of LaVale and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11 AM with speaker Harry Jenkins officiating. Family and friends are welcome one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
