Imogene Elaine Stafford, 80, of Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on December 29, 1934 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Jeanie (Steele) Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold “Scotty” Stafford and two siblings, Tom Lancaster and Evie (Lancaster) Kyle.
Imogene was a lifetime member of the Martha Washington Chapter #10 Order Eastern Star, Lonaconing. She graduated from Central High School in 1952, the last graduating class. She was a homemaker and her family was very important to her. Family came first with Imogene. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and canning vegetables.
She is survived by her children, Jeanie and JR Mollica of Altoona, PA, Cindy and John Folk of Frostburg, Linda Thomas of Barton, Harold and Kami Stafford of Lonaconing and Jennifer and Eddie Smith of New Creek, WV; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Owen Lancaster and Siddy (Lancaster) Broadwater and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A, Lonaconing on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A memorial service will be held by the Martha Washington Chapter #10 Order Eastern Star at 2:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
