Harry "Ronnie" Ronald Shaw

Harry “Ronnie” Ronald Shaw, 87, of Sunlight Drive Lonaconing, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 14th 2024 at his home. Born on January 27th 1937, he was the son of the late Harry Shaw and Marie (O’Halloran) Shaw.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Shaw and sister, Mary “Norma” Nelson. 

Ronnie was a 1956 graduate of Valley High School and he served in the United States Army Reserves as a Sergeant with the Military Police. He was employed and retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass and went on to help his family run Shaw’s Service Exxon Station. In his later years he was well known for entertaining friends for coffee in his garage at home. He enjoyed yearly trips with his family to Ocean City, MD often to watch the White Marlin Open and to the speedway at Dover Downs for NASCAR races. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lonaconing V.F.W and the Lions Club. Ronnie will be sadly missed and continued to be loved by his family and friends.

 He is survived by his only son Ronald “Craig” Shaw and wife Brenda of Lonaconing; granddaughters, Ashley Green and husband Cole of Lonaconing, Natosha Shaw of Cumberland and Carley Shaw and Jesse Green of Barton; great grandchildren, Macie Buentello, Wyatt Green and Jaxon Green and nephews, Daniel Andrews and Stephen Andrews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM- 1 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Ronnie had a huge heart and compassion for animals of all walks of life. In the lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter in his honor at P.O. Box 566, Cumberland, MD 21502.
