Harrison "Buck" Timney, 99, formerly of Seldom Seen Road, Lonaconing died, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing where he had been a patient for many years. Born May 16, 1912 in Lonaconing he was the son of the late John Timney and Hettie (Warnick) Timney. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Phillips, Helen Miller, Mary Cooper, Daniel Timney, John Timney, Thomas Timney, and Jennie Miller.
Buck was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and of the Methodist faith. He was a member of the Never Seen Hunting Club and a former member of the Senior Citizens of Georges Creek and the Alvin C. Neat Post #5280 V.F.W., Lonaconing, MD. He retired from the Celanese Fiber Co., Cumberland where he worked in the spinning dept.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including nephews, Tim Cooper of Lonaconing and Gary Cooper and wife Leslie also of Lonaconing.

), Lonaconing on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Ernie Poland officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
