Harold John Holsinger, 95, of Honeysuckle Lane, Frostburg died Friday, February 1, 2013 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, where he was a resident for three months. Born on October 25, 1917 in Eckhart he was the son of the late John Andrew Holsinger and Geneva M. (Briner) Holsinger.
He was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Frostburg. Harold was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII and he also served in the infantry. He retired from Celanese Fiber Corp. after 45 years of working in the coning department.
He is survived by his wife, Louisa (Weisenborne) Holsinger; a special nephew, Larry Gunter and wife Judith of Chestertown; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
At his request he was cremated and there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at Porter Cemetery, Eckhart. Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) assisted the family.
