Gregory Crowe

Gregory James Crowe, 54, of LaVale MD, died February 19, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born in Japan on March 13, 1965 he was the son of the late, Wilbur and Rose Mary(Strobel) Crowe.

He was a 1984 graduate of Allegany High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Frostburg State University.  He was a member of the SAG-AFTRA Union and appeared in many movies and television shows, most recently the TV show “The Politician” and the movie “Eighth Grade”.  Locally he was a member of the Murder Mystery Company and the Polar Express Company where he had featured performances on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, notably playing Santa in the Polar Express.

He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Minnick and Julie Hans and husband Rollen; three nephews, Ray Minnick and Micah Humbertson, Daniel Minnick and Julian Hans; one beloved great nephew, Kellen Minnick, of which he shared a special bond and three step-great nephews, Corbin, Cash and Caysen. In addition he will be missed by lots of friends, family and fellow gamers and actors everywhere.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.  Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A. assisted with the arrangements.
