George Winebrenner

George "Freddy" Frederick Winebrenner, 80, of Frostburg Village Nursing Home and formerly of Carlos, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at the nursing home. Born April 30, 1930 in Carlos, he was the son of the late Floyd Winebrenner and Gladys (Thomas) Winebrenner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Misae (Yotsuhashi) Winebrenner.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII, Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Winebrenner Tavern, Klondike. He was also a member of the Carlos Methodist Church and Farrady Post #24 American Legion, Frostburg , MD.

He is survived by his son, Rickey Winebrenner and wife Debbie of Carlos; one granddaughter and one grandson, Dana and Logen at home; four sisters, Betty Yates of National, Mary Cutter of Egle Nursing Home, Nettie Cameron of Carlos and Delores Woods of Alabama; one brother, Floyd Winebrenner of Frostburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Midland on Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park. Full military services will be accorded by Farrady Post #24 American Legion, Frostburg , MD.
