Genevieve Timney

Genevieve Morton Timney, 83, formerly of Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing where she had been a resident for many years. Born April 27, 1927 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late, James Stevenson Morton and Annie Belle (Frye) Morton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Timney, two sisters, Margaret Lapp and Helen Thomas and one brother, James Morton.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. She was also a member of the Martha Washington Chapter #10 Order of the Eastern Star , Lonaconing and the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen M. Timney and wife June of Lonaconing and Thomas H. Timney and wife Toby of Westernport; 3 grandchildren, Krista Timney of South Carolina, Stephen Timney and wife Kari of Frostburg and step grandson, Cody Brill of Westernport; one great-grandchild, Jacob Timney of Frostburg; one sister, Isabelle Morton of Lonaconing; one brother, John Morton of LaVale; one special cousin, Jennie Lee Frye Thomas and husband Kenneth of Orlando, FL; numerous nieces and nephews and two good friends, Nancy Smith and Elaine Muir.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held by Martha Washington Chapter #10 Order of the Eastern Star at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Maxwell Greenfield officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Condolences may be sent to the family at ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ).
