Eva Marie Gibbs

Eva Marie Gibbs, 56, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing died Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at her home. Born on November 29, 1967, she was the daughter of Genevieve (Dye) Thomas and the late Charles “Bunchy” Thomas Sr.

Together with her father she was also preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Aaron Scott Thomas.

Eva was a 1985 graduate of Valley High School and the Career Center. She loved to socialize, rather it be a dance, karaoke, or a game of horseshoes.

She leaves behind her mother, Genevieve Thomas; her beloved husband, Wilbur “Jake” Gibbs; five children, Joe Gibbs and wife Tiffany, Cassie Rotruck, Barbara Sue Harris, Deborah Gibbs and Brian Gibbs and wife Jessica; seven grand-children, Karena Rotruck, Delaney Gibbs, Tucker Gibbs, Emily Litten, Tristan Bittinger, Aydin Gibbs, and Colton Gibbs; two sisters, Sondra Miller and Melvin and Paula Fitzgerald and husband Dave and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eva is in the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, and the family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
