Elmira Cathy Bell, 91, of Frostburg died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Frostburg where she had been a patient for many years. Born May 18, 1919 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Walter Kallmyer and Grace (Neat) Kallmyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Bell on December 25, 2005, two brothers, Irvin Kallmyer and Ellsworth W. Kallmyer and four sisters, Laura Kallmyer, Nina Kemmerling, Virginia Kallmyer and Thelma Ternent.
She was of the Methodist faith. She graduated from Central High School and then went on to graduate from Beauty School. Throughout her life she worked as a real estate agent and a beautician.
She is survived by seven nephews, Bruce Durst of Frostburg, Leslie Kallmyer of Hawaii, Hugh Ternent of Stow, OH, Raymond Bell of Iowa, Pete Bell of Iowa, John W. Miller of Dover, OH and William K. Miller of California and five nieces, Mary Crawford of Midland, Betty Reckley of Frostburg, Faye Smith of Barton, Vivian Snoeberger of Cresaptown and Grace Ward of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. (

), Lonaconing on Friday, August 27, 2010 with the Rev. Phil Foster officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
