Elizabeth Gephart

Elizabeth Gephart, 98, of Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing died Saturday May 7, 2011.

Born April 29, 1913 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late James and Matilda (McElvie) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her husband William Irvin Gephart on December 30, 1985.

Mrs. Gephart was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ella and Nova and five brothers, James, Mac, Pershing, Robert and Blair. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving is her sister-in-law, Mary Virginia Holmes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gephart worked at the First United Methodist Church for many years, retiring when she was in her eighties.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Anne Holmes officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sidhu and the staff of the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center for taking good care of Elizabeth.
