Edna Eichhorn

Edna Eichhorn, 90, of Lonaconing died on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing. Born on January 1, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Alexander Lashbaugh and Margaret (Weber) Lashbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her husband August Edward Eichhorn in 1987 and a granddaughter Skylar Eichhorn. Her son Thomas Eichhorn of Terra Alta, WV died on Monday, December 3, 2018 in Morgantown, WV.

Edna was a graduate of Central High School and went on to receive her teaching degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She taught in several states including Michigan, Maryland and West Virginia. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing where she was part of the choir, taught adult bible classes and worked on the newsletter. She was also a deacon and an elder within the church.

She is survived by one son Andrew “Drew” Eichhorn of North Dakota; four grandchildren Stephanie, Cindy, Shayn and McKenzie; several great-grandchildren; a sister Bonnie Sue Broadwater and husband Clarence of Lonaconing and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from Noon- 2PM. A funeral will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
