Dorothy Hershberger

Dorothy Malvina Hershberger, 74, of Hummingbird Hill, Lonaconing died Thursday, August 7, 2014 surrounded by her family at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.  Born on January 22, 1940 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Thomas O. Wilt and Thelma M. (Beeman) Wilt.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Dale Davis and two brothers, Roger and Harry Wilt.

Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. She was a graduate of Valley High School class of 1958 and Catherman's Business School. Over the years she had worked for the Celanese Corp., Brashear Coal and Barnes School Bus Service.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Wilt and Husband Ben; one grandson, Jared B. Wilt; two granddaughters, Tina M. Wilt and Fiancé Greg Edwards and Erica M. Wilt; one great-granddaughter, Mia Malvina Wilt; one great-grandson, Bryce Charles Edwards; her special friend, Gilbert Barnes, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

My Mom,  She was a person who never had a problem with anyone. She saw the good in all people. She was very strong minded and just glad to be here on this earth. She loved her daughter, grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with all of her heart. We didn't want for anything, but she did this all alone. So God had to be with her all of the time. It is a real great loss to us but God needs her now. So when you look at the stars at night, I am sure my Mom will be one of the them. How do you replace and angel of God?

At her request she will be cremated. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing assisted the family.
